Korean mezzo-soprano Daoun Dana Jung was born in Gyeongju, South Korea. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Yeungnam University, where she studied under Prof. Hyun Lee.

First stage
She gained her first professional stage experience through the Open Studio of Daegu Opera House. She subsequently performed the role of Zweite Dame (Second Lady) in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Die Zauberflöte at the Sejong Arts Center and Daegu Opera House. As a Young Artist, she has also participated in various concerts and musical projects.
